Few singing bowls I had in hands before used to sing by circling of leather end on striker. This one stayed quiet. I almost gave it up. Then I tried circling with wooden end and the bowl started singing with rich, beautiful tone with very lightly vibrating sound. And I played it and played and could not get enough. Very happy with purchase.
